Aaaauuugghhh, don't even get me started on Sugu... I could've done without that... I don't really care about all the "But in Japan, marrying your cousin is fine, so back off!" defense for Sugu/Kirito... The fact is... she spent her WHOLE. LIFE. believing he was her brother by blood, then all of a sudden, when he's in a coma and locked in a death game and could die any minute, she finds out he's her cousin, and suddenly that... makes it okay to look at him romantically? Ugh... Just... Ew. No. Blood relation aside, the way they were raised is what makes it so questionable...

As I noted earlier, I'd like to think she's just confused. She does seem to get over it pretty quickly afterwards.
But that could just be me wanting to pull the wool over my eyes.
Also I think you may have made an error with the time period for Alicization -the dates for some of the Chapters on Baka-tsuki specify the year as being 2026. The SAO incident started in 2022. So while its been four years, those four years were from the start, not from when they got free.

That's what I want to think, too, but she seems damn serious about it. =_=
On the topic of Alicization, in that case, there's a translation error in Running, because it specifically said in the narration that it was four years after they were freed.

Although in spite of all that, I actually rather like Suguha. Even if she is a bro-con, she at least acts like a caring and supportive family member instead of one of those little sister characters who is obsessed with trying to get her onee-chan to bone her.
On a related note, why on earth does Silica remind Kirito of Suguha? Silica's character design remind me more of Asuna than Suguha! Though that might be largely a matter of hair colour.

I don't mind Sugu once she becomes a background character, but she just rubbed me the wrong way during the major ALO arc...
Well, when Kirito got stuck in SAO, Sugu was, what, like 12 years old? I don't think it had to do with design, but attitude, and it might've even been the even younger Sugu that he was thinking of, from before they got distant when he found out they were cousins.

Are you sure you didn't misread one of my posts? Because I'm really not sure whatyou're talking about... Though I'm now wondering if you're familiar with what happens in the GGO arc...

You spoke about Suguha's 'onee-chan'. Suguha doesn't have a sister tabby, Kirito is technically her brother...that would make him her 'onii-chan' XDDDD
Just stick with brother/sister huh? It's just easier in the long run...XDDDD

But using random Japanese words is cool! I actually am aware that onii-chan is the appropriate term for an older brother (that the speaker is close to), I just got things mixed up in this particular case. Although I'm really not sure how to differentiate between "onee" and "onii" when they're being spoken aloud.

nee = neigh nii = knee
In both cases, the vowel is extended a little, but it may or may not be perceptible. Depends in part on how close you're listening, and the speaker.

No. No it isn't dude. That shit went out when we were all like...twelve XDDD
And seriously dude, you *can* tell when you hear it. It's quite easy to hear the difference if you bother to listen.

^yeah pretty much happened like that.
For the ads/banners in the *booru sites, I have ad-block plus on firefox and I can cut out those portions of the page altogether, so for me its just the pic, and tags on the side. Its very helpful.
I'm about 3 eps from the end. I hope the antagonist dies a gruesome death.
