Hey guys, I'm trying to decide how to run this section. There's a few ways I can go about doing this.
1) Characters and Players are on a thread-by-thread basis. This would mean that a player can begin a thread and choose what character(s) they want to play for it, and they can decide who may play what characters in their thread. This will only work if people are fair, and don't play favorites. It's okay if you know who you want to play what character, but try not to always be exclusive, and don't always limit yourself to threads with the same people. All I ask is that everyone has a chance to play.
I think to keep it clean, that players would have to post a small image of their character at the top of the post. If no image exists, or you don't want to use one, make sure it's noticeable at the top of the post -- Bolded, centered, and higher point size might be best.
2) Players must apply for characters, I will make accounts for the characters and make a Role Play Character group, so that the RP accounts can only post in the RP section. This one will be free-form, all battles must be done fairly and rely on the common sense and honor of the individual players. Discussing how a fight will turn out with the players involved is encouraged. God-modding is not allowed or tolerated.
3) Like the above, players must apply and there will be RP Group character accounts. Unlike the above, this one would be a bit stricter, employing a stat system. This is only if people think that fights might get messy. I think that people are less likely to unknowingly god-mod (usually inexperienced RPers are guilty of this) when there is a stat system to keep in mind, but it makes things unnecessarily complicated, in my eyes. I would likely transfer the same point system used at the J-H pan-fandom RP if I did this.
If you've got any other ideas, please feel free to let me know! I'm not locked into these three, I'm more than willing to hear ideas. ^^
